I am in awe of nature.  Sitting on a mountain top, hiking a trail, sitting by a lake or in a park. Pure beauty, peace and joy fill my soul. I am enveloped by the sun, the sounds of birds, the rustle of leaves in the breeze, the lapping of water against the shore. The smell of happy plants. All of my landscapes are of places I have been to. These places touched my soul in such a way that the need to capture their essence had a strong hold on me.

My Adirondacks art work became its own series. I didn't start that way but I kept coming back to the same place each summer. I worked on site (with the exception of Emma On the Canoe. My dog does not like to pose for me). There is always something hidden and special when I take the time to really be.
